Well I found another excuse for a new knife, serrated edge in 440V! It came an hour ago and I love it! Smooth action, secure lockup, good fit in hand with nice textured grip, and I love the light weight. This is priced right and I'm sure there is a plain edge in my future and a few more as holiday gifts! Here is a picture of my Spydies to date.

roguesoul, that's the kind of picture that can make a SpydieKnut cry.
A picture is worth a thousand words....;)

P.S.-You've started off real good!:D

Roguesoul, the native is a great choice. With my two natives, set up for left and right carry, I feel like I can conquer the world! ;)

Thanks for the responses! The Native is terrific ,ever since my first Spyderco I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of Sal's knives.

4 S ter No doubt I'll be collecting more in the future. I'm glad I listened to the praises of Spydie knives from fellow forumites and to think, I used to tell myself these were ugly knives.

KBR If I'm not mistaken you have a Mili on the way, let us know how you like it! I didn't start out with Spydies but now that I'm here, it's for good!

Mr Blonde peace brother :) The Native is to cool, with mine I've cut some rubber hose and it totally smoked the plain edged knives. Also cut some plastic food packages open very well, Spydie edge Rocks.

What I found I positively love is the chisel ground edge, at least for a knife this size. It shaves off hangnails like a scalpel, Awesome! This grind also does a number on hanging string if you ever get bored. This Knife is the one I'll always carry and let others use when needed, I love it!

The Native was my first Spyderco, I got it in early february and it's my EDC since then, great ergonomics, blade shape and the right weight and size to ride clipped in my pocket.

Nice collection dude! The Native never fails to amaze me as a high-tech matter seperator! :D

Orozcov Yes it is very nice in the pocket or the waistband or maybe a girl's G String at the beach. :)

Samo The collection grows, I just bought a fellow BFC'rs Ti Salsa!!!

The infection spreads...

i'm so glad to hear all these great reviews. i just bought the Native today for an awesome price. my first CPM 440V steel baby! terribly happy and excited, might become my EDC :D

aXed CMP stainless is the best IMHO. Lets here your review on the Native! I've cut some food now and a plain edge would be slightly better at the task but the serrated works in a pinch.

I just got my first Native today. It's a used Native 35/65 in GIN-1 steel. Although an earlier model, it's still an awesome knife. I only have a minor problem with a couple of the serrations, but it still looks great. With a touch up on my 204, this baby was shaving hair, again. It just became my new EDC, until my Mili PE arrives. At that time, it will be my backup when those serrations would be needed.

Can't wait to get my hands on a Native Plainedge, in CPM440V. I can see that Spydie in my future pretty soon...:D

I'm seriously considering a Native, I just want get my hands on one to see how it fits before I make the purchase.

ROM831 Here where I live there aren't any B&M stores that carry all the models so I feel your pain. The Native feels great however, so order one for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

ROM831, I've never had a knife that fits my hand so securely. The grip on the Native is one of a kind, IMO.;)
