Just got a new 560BT!!!!

My happiness with this knife is tempered with a disbelief of it's discontinuation. I've owned a BUCK 110 since early 1974 and have carried and used that knife through everything imaginable with great satisfaction. I only bought this new 560 as I just recently heard of it's demise. (should have done it a long time ago!!) This is one fine package. It is skinny, comfortable in my hand, and very light.

I'm now flabbergasted that this knife didn't out sell it's older brother, the 110. I was hoping to still find the GT version in natural Ti, but couldn't,but feel lucky to have gotten the Black powder coated one (just preference). Funny thing how sales rise and fall around certain designs....even truly great ones!! Hope I can find that natural colored one now......

GELADEN,

You did not hear it from me but i heard that Buck "might" be bringing the 560 back! It would be a next year project if we did. FYI, the sales were kind of soft on this model and then the plant that sintered the titanium sides burned down. We had to consider if it would be worth it to pay for new tooling for a slow seller. Now you know the rest of the story!

Joe; thanks for the feedback! I was wondering after I made this original post, if it wasn't in fact BECAUSE of it's predecessor the 110 that the 560 lagged in sales???? Kind a hard to crowd a classic IMHO.
