I just got a new commander 2000 satin finish with serrations, i took it apart to tuff cloth and well, i cant seem to get it back together. Specifically, i have one problem, at the rear of the knife, there is a plastic piece between both liners, it has four stainless screws in it. The screws wont go in deep enough to be flush, and as a result, the knife will not go back together.
Thanks

Dan - be really careful! You may have the screws cross-threaded, which would cause them to not return to their original position. Titanium is a softer metal, and the threads on the screws are pretty fine, so there is a possibility of stripping the threads in the liner. Back the screws out, then, turn the screw a few more times counter-clockwise to make sure the end of the screw seats properly. After that, try screwing it back in (go slow!) and see if that gets them to go down flush. Remember - they were flush when you started, so they DO go back that way. :D

Sorry i am a moron, i guess with all the christmas excitement, i forgot that there is a liner that is supposed to go between the plastic piece and the g10 handles. Thanks
