I found Will Leavitt here on Bladeforums and really liked the look of his work, so I shot him an email, and he got right back to me. I asked him to make me one of his EDC models with a wharncliff blade and osage orange scales. Well, I just got it in the mail. Two days from Alabama to San Francisco ain't bad in my book.
To see what he sent, check out the first picture in this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=277925

After having received it, all I can say is wow. Will, you do mighty fine work. This is actually the first custom knife I've ever bought, and I am really happy with it. The fit and finish is excellent, and I'm really glad I asked for the osage scales. They really make it all come together. An added plus is that they're pretty enough I'm pretty sure it won't scare the sheep.

It fits my pocket well, and fits my hand like Will had taken my measurements. So yeah, I'm happy. Thanks for a great job and super-speedy delivery, Will. It was a pleasure to order from you.

James,
I'm very glad you like your knife. When you first said sheep I was concerned about where you might be taking your knife , then I realized sheeple. ;)

Thanks for letting me make your knife. If you ever need anything, just holler at me. I hope all my customers are like you.

James, how does the custom cut and hold an edge? What forged steel did he use? I like his simple design for a user and they do look very good.
Glad you like it....nothing like a custom, forged blade.

BM,

I haven't had a chance to do any extensive cutting with it, but Will definitely put a nice edge on my knife. It's certainly sharp enough to take hair off of my arm.
Will may have to correct me on this, but I believe he uses 1084. I like it, but I much prefer carbon steels.

James

BM,
Like James said, I'm forging 1084. I'm putting a convex edge on the blades so between the edge quenched tough carbon blade and a strong edge you'll have a tough knife.

I'm glad you liked my EDC knives. Email me and we can talk more about what you're looking for in your knife.
Thanks,
