I used to have a Kershaw Leek back when they used I believe 440C stainless for the blade. Somehow I lost it and have been trying to locate another ever since (don't want to buy online). I had a Buck Tempest for a while and also lost it, so after that I went and bought a Kershaw MiniCyclone because I thought that it would be a better EDC then the Leek. While I just can't take the MiniCyclone, the thicker blade dosen't cut well at all and it seems to be a real effort to get the blade to sharpen well. Also it takes up a lot of room in the pocket and you definatly notice it there. So I was in a fishing store the other day and they had some knives for sale and there was a Kershaw Leek, on sale for $64.00Can., I had paid $80.00 for the previous one that I had so this one seemed like a good deal. Anyway I bought it and it feels like I've come home again.
I can hardly feel it in my pocket, it slices through anything with ease and seems to sharpen up really easy to a near-razor edge. Seems like the MiniCyclone is going to be regulated to the sockdrawer now.
