Hey everyone, was scrounging through a basement in one of our renting houses and i found an old furnace of ours and ripped out the motor... anyways its got a pully end at the end of its single ended shaft, and it had a belt... the belt is here and it fits, now i was thinking, any ideas for this motor?

i was thinking of making a buffer out of it, or maybe something else

i would do a belt sander... but i have a 2x42 and if i made a sander it would probably be crappy... maybe this buffer would be a better idea, im open to any suggestions

edited to add: the motor is 1/3 hp, with 1725 rpm

That's exactly what I use for a buffer. Bought one of those buffer attachments for a 1/2" motor shaft. I run 6" and 8" buffers on it.
