Hey everyone,

So, the quick story is: I bought a kershaw skyline, loved the blade shape and have been looking for more kershaw knives with a similar shape. So, I picked up a Scamp 2710 and a brand new Salvo 2445CKT (Black model)

For a bit more embellishment, I got a great deal on the scamp (used from a BF member) and I kept reading reviews that the Scamp's overall feel reminded people of the Kershaw Barrage/Salvo! So, I starting looking into the 2445 model and stumbled across the black model for a great price, no more than what people are asking for the regular silver model (less even:thumbup:) So, I bought it and I must say, I am quite pleased with both the Scamp and the Salvo. I enjoy the weight of both of these knives, as well as the blade shapes and handle materials. I would say that the Scamp blade is more like the Skyline's in shape, seeing as how both have a swedge. The Salvo blade looks more like the blade of the Leek, which is great as well (still have yet to pick a Leek up for myself, not a fan of AO's).

Anyways, just thought I would share the story and some pictures with you all! I have read that the 2445CKT black model Salvo was a limited run, is that true? If so, I think I got an even better deal on it than originally seems. Anybody else out there enjoying the Scamp as much as I am? I know that I will not get into purchasing/using/collecting any high-end, pricey knives. All of my knives have been sub $40 with the exception of one that was $50. Thanks for checking this thread.

NR0920, the black Salvo's were indeed a non cataloged variant. Can't recall exactly how many we produced but think I remember it being in the 700-800 range. Don't let that keep you from using it now. ;)
