I just got a box in the mail. Inside, my new Rainier Scout!
This is one nice tomahawk. I am very happy that I chose this to be my first ATC hawk. It is nice enough to go on display in my living room, but looks plenty tough enough to be my new hiking and camping companion.
For those of you who are still thinking of getting one, I highly recommend it!
This is definitely one weapon that has to be seen and handled to be fully appreciated. :)
 
Another thing I noticed about my Rainier.. It is a small hawk, when compared side by side with my brother's cold steel sort-of-hawk, but, when it is on it's own, it is the perfect size. The head and handle are of the correct proportions to one another , so you do not look at it and say, hey, what a little hawk. For toting around the woods, tucked into the back of my gunbelt, this guy is gonna be perfect. it is the best sized carrying tomahawk I have ever seen.
