I finally picked up a small Sebenza yesterday...this is the only one I own now, but is the fourth one to have inhabited my pocket
It's a 1997 small regular that looks to have been well-loved by its previous owner. Came to me with a bit of stiff action (lube was all dried out), and not quite sharp, but a 5-minute disassembly/clean/lube/reassembly and 5 minutes on the Sharpmaker + strop took care of that! It reminds me of why I love these Sebenzas so much - it is so easy to take it down, clean it up, and have it back to ship-shape condition.
I'll probably send it into the shop next week to get the handles re-blasted and the tip fixed (it is slightly impacted, and needs to be restored). For the moment though, I am enjoying carrying it without regard to scratches (as it is already seriously scuffed!). I hope to remember the casual regard for the handles when it comes back, so that it will become my user
