Very first "real" knife. I had to choose between the Delica or the 556 but got the Delica because of the price and availability of PayPal acceptance (ebay). Another plus is that I got it in less than 24 hours when I payed for it. I like this knife and hope I can hold on to it as long as some of the other members have. Thanks for everyone who recommended it.

Last pic has a little blood in it.

edit, geocities might now be working right now

Which Delica did you get?...FRN, stainless...plain-edge, serrated? My favorite is stainless, plain-edge.

Whoops, looks like you didn't get that finger out of the way in time while you were closing that sharp sucker ;) Time for the neosporin!

Good luck with your new Delica.:) I have a SS plain edge that I really like. You won't regret your purchase.

I got a Delica Lightweight PE with FRN handle in VG-10. There was a Teflon coated one on ebay but I was thinking about how the coating would eventually wear out. I forgot how I cut my finger though. I set it down to take the pics and I guess I wanted to reposition it but touched the blade in the process.

I bought my first Spydie recently-it was an SE Delica, same materials as yours. Enjoy the knife :D I do.

Since ive only had it for less than a day, the only dislike is all the finger prints the blade shows.

Mistakaroo,
Congrats on your most excellent purchase! It won't dissapoint you. I'm sure that you will find that Spyderco stands behind all of their products 100%! They'll even sharpen it up for you to the original edge for just return post. Enjoy!
Watch those fingers!
Matt

Good deal!
I've got 4 or 5 of those suckers and they're great...beat the hell out of a couple and they're still holdin' up.
A few more of those cuts and it should break-in just fine:cool:

Cut Safe!

I've carried mine daily since late 98 or early 99. Great little blade. Does everything I want it to. I just recently bought some more. My original one is hollow ground. Not sure the new flat ground will make a difference since I haven't carried any of them yet. You won't be sorry you got one.

Good choice Mistakaroo - been carrying one just like yours for a while now. Also have a S/S PE version which I like very much too. And yes - the sharpmaker is well worth getting. Wish I'd bought mine years ago..............
