Just got a Titanium (560) today

It was only $48, so I had to grab it. Heck, that's less than I paid for the original 560 when they were still made.

It's the goldish color model. Kind of ugly actually. The lock bar isn't a perfect fit either. I think the older ones were ground down on the back to make things line up, but these have the crystal finish so they can't.

Oh well, it's still really cool to have a second 560 I can carry and use.

I had a nice 560 and traded it off. I wish now that I would have kept it.

I am definitely not letting go of this. It stills weighs just enough to feel durable, the finger grooves are deep enough, and it's flatter than a 110 but still wide enough to get a good grip on.

If there is one thing I would like to see in the custom shop before anything else, it's a titanium finger-grooved handle. This has priority over any previous suggestions I have made. :) 2nd to that would be a 560 back in regular production, but the problem with that is it would probably be 420HC again, and such a perfect handle really deserves a premium blade. Wouldn't stop me from buying it though.

I would fear that putting the 560 back in production might hurt the value of this small herd I have collected.

I vote no.

They can always make it look a little different so the old ones are still unique.

Yes...They could offer it with a drop-point blade... :D

That sure sounds good!

I wouldn't want to alter the handle pattern outline at all, as it is perfect. However, if people still want a clip point, the weight-reducing cutouts on the sides could easily be changed out of respect for collectors who were forced to pay a premium during the extended non-production years. Maybe smaller and more numerous craters, or perhaps a series of long channels like / / / / /, covering only the area where a wood slab would be on a 110.

I got it from a local retailer. I was somewhat amazed to see it in her cabinet so I grabbed it. This will probably be the only day I carry it at the bank. It's definitely more knife than I normally carry at work.

Agreed, Carl64. Back when there was still a custom shop, I sent in two of my 560s to be re-bladed. One has BG42, the other damascus. The damascus may seem incongruous, but I found it was easier to re-sharpen in the field.

Maybe some day, there'll be a custom shop again. Is there an icon for a wistful sigh?

Hi Guys
I spotted a trio of 560's at a local gunshop, only one has no blade play and tight lock up, so I bought it. Paid about $80 NZ, perhaps I should have got them all.

it is a odd 560 with its matching blade and gets lots of comments!

That is a nice one Dave! One of these days I will get around to posting mine.

The favorite of my 560's is the all black one signed by Chuck Buck!
