just got a tomcat 3.0

I just got through checking and Rifon's got it.

mfg. in Seki, Japan.

Same place all those legendary Al Mar knives came from. ;)

The Tomcat 3.0 is made in Seki, Japan. As for the 20th marking, we only did a limited number of them with the marking. We have stopped that now. I would estimate that about 500 or so were marked with the 20th Anniv. logo. So you sort of have a collectors item.

Happy holidays.

SOG really did a great job in updating their classic Tomcat design. I really like it.

Chris, any idea where I can get a Sog I? By the way, I have a Sog III 20 th marking. What's it worth do you suppose?

No idea on where you might find a Tomcat I. Those have been discontinued for several years. Keep an eye on eBay and on the forums here.

AS for the value of the 20th Anniversary Tomcat 3. That is another tough one. I would guess that since we only shipped about 500 that way it is sort of rare and may add about 10% to the price. That is just my guess though.

It's a little unfortunate, but since it's still in production, even though it's a safe queen the most you'll probably be able to get for it is less than the MSRP.

I'd hold onto it if I were you, and if you intend to sell it, wait awhile for a few years maybe until it's out of production.
Then, if it's still in perfect condition, you might be able to even sell it for more than you paid for it.

I love em all........but,

I'm selling all mine............everything..........in a yard sale next week for a buck or two each............maybe. :o

I'm only keeping one gas station knife that the handles flex and the pivot screw is super glued in...........:o

A little off topic but,
Do you like the new Tomcat?
Over 3 inch blade?
Easy to open with one hand?
