I have been practicing with it for a few days now before moving on and reprofiling all my nicer knives. I had seen before someone sharpened up an old butter knife into a blade and was just wondering if you guys can think of anything else along those lines that wouldn't normally be thought of to sharpen.

Why not just continue sharpening more of your inexpensive knives until you're happy and comfortable with the results? It seems like a waste to burn up belts on something like a butter knife or other knife like object....

Put a bevel (not actually knife-sharp) on the side of a beefy fork. Will make cutting pancakes with the side of it easier. :D

I've been doing all my cheap ones already I don't want to grind them away. I have gotten a couple to push cut newspaper free hanging already. I want to reprofile more, have fun, and just get super comfortable with it before I move on to stuff I would be concerned with making an error. The belts are cheap anyway.

I like the fork idea that would be great for tender meats too!
