Just got an aluminum Cricket! And now a question.

Sal,

I know there were sound business reasons for discontinuing the aluminum Cricket in favor of the FRN model, but what a shame!

Comparing the two (the FRN Cricket was one of my first Spydies, and still a favorite), I noticed that the blade shape was changed slightly between the two models. Can you offer some insight as to the reasoning behind the modification?

Thanks.

i have no insight other than to add that now you need the CF version. i believe its the neatest of the three versions available.

course to be complete i suppose youll need a pink one also.

Hi Dave. There are often minor changes in shapes when going from a slab scale to an FRN mmdel. Mostly to improve the fit and functon within the mechanics of the model.

Thanks, Sal.

Rich, you're probably right -- I need to acquire a CF Cricket, too (I'll pass on the pink).
