I just got my arclite today. I must admit, for a piece of steel, it actually felt a little cheap at first. I guess because it was so light. However, the more I handled it, the better it felt. Wrapping the handle with a shoelace helped improve the grip, as it felt a little small at first. The edge was hair popping sharp out of the box. The sheath was a little tight, but after playing with it for a while I have no problem pulling the knife out. I'm curious to see how well the 420HC holds up under use around salt water. All in all, I feel I got my money's worth.

I usually alternate my carry knives every few days, but the CUDA Arclite is the one knife that's with me every single day of the week since I bought it. I absolutely love this knife. I wrapped mine in olive green paracord for an enhanced grip, and the edge retention is great. It's also more rust resistant than say ATS-34. 420HC is good steel and makes for a very affordable knife.

I just got my ArcLite yesterday. Have not had much time to play with it yet. Having handled a DDR ArcLite I must say I am impressed with how close Camillus captured the essence of the custom.

Hope to wrap the handle of mine with paracord as well. I think it is going to be a great knife for me personally. Mine was sharp right out of the box as well,

at first i thought mine looked a bit cheep too, but it does cut, well, i really like the recurve style blade, i would have been happier if it came sharper out of the box, the arclite's edge cant compare to my benchmade's.

only problem that i have with this thing is the handle its not long enough, i wanted a smallish blade, but i have big hands, i need about another inch on this thing, then it would be a real winner in my mind

My Arclite came razor sharp. In fact it was sharper than my 154CM EDC. My EDC came sharp, but the edge was very polished. On the Arclite, the edge was very "grabby" which is what I like. Hair popping sharp. I am very happy with both my Arclite and EDC and in my opinion, both knives deserve Blade's best buy of the year, and best collaboration of the year awards. Kudos to Darrel Ralph and Camillus!

Hey there el cid. My Arclite actually came with a very polished edge. Sharp enough to shave easily, but didn't have enough bite. So it just ran it over the ceramic stones a couple of times and traded "shaving sharp" for "dont test sharpness on thumb sharp". I actually cut myself for the first time in months when I tested it. Heheh. oh well, skin heals.
