Just Got An Izula....But....

I just got an Izala today. Then I made a big mistake ....I read the reviews on

the H.E.S.T. I think the Izula is a great little knife but its a little small for me.

Am I making a mistake by sending the Izula kit and handles back and

getting a H.E.S.T. for a difference in price of $11.

I like the fact that the HEST is bigger overall and fits my large hard much

better. Im going to use the HEST as an edc. Is is about the right size?

I cant afford both knives now. Push me in right direction.;)
 
i don't think you would regret keeping the izula. it's my EDC. don't have a HEST, but it's nearly as long as the 3, which is just a little big for me to use at work around the sheeple.
 
I have both an izula and a h.e.s.t. and find myself carrying the izula out of convenience, due to it's size. I use it as a neck knife and occasionally slip it in my pocket.
 
I've found that cord wrapping the handle makes the Izula just long enough to make a difference. I don't know if that helps your decision or not.
 
I have yet to get the hest but i own a few izulas and i love them. I work all day in the woods and on the beach. I have yet to find a job the izula cant handle.
 
I have and love both knives...if I had to choose between the two I'd take the HEST and figure out how to make it work full time. but I carry the Izula a lot too, and I'm thinking the Izula will work better a lot of the time in public in the summer.
 
I vastly prefer the Izula for EDC over the HEST when here in NYC. Nice small size and can stand up to pretty much any task.

When in the country and dont have to worry about carrying a blade concealed, I prefer the RC3mil even more.

With that said, had the HEST and sold it.
 
I have just the HEST but I love it. I'm a small build and I can still edc it. I can drop it in a pocket or on my belt. and the sheath is thinner.
 
I don't think you'll mind the izula. It's a great small knife to Edc. The hest and it's sheath are nice, but a bit larger and harder to conceal.

That said, I currently carry a hest daily. Would I return an izula to do it? Nope
 
keep the Izula and get a HEST.the Izula is a little monster worth keeping and using,it won't let you down.just like the Izula,it cuts big for a small knife.the HEST dose that much more for it's size and it so comfy in hand!
 
Keep the Izula. I got mine right before the hest was designed and released and I havent had any strong desire to get one cause I love the Izula.
 
I have and love both.

But the Izula works better as an every day carry knife, in my opinion, based on size alone.
 
Keep the Izula, it's a little small on size, but oh so capable. If you're going to get a HEST, you might as well upgrade to the ESEE-3 because the size difference is minor. The Izula is a very nice size to have on your person at all times. You just forget it's there. IMHO you should definitely keep the Izula. Give it some time and I bet it will grow on you. I had to buy more than one because it's just such a great knife.
 
I can count the number of IZULAs I have received back on one hand. It takes both hands for the HEST.

Either way--you will have a good knife. I say keep and use the IZULA. I think you'll like it.
 
i have 3 izulas and the wife edc's one in her purse. you wont belive it till you carry one for about a week. stronger than any folder and just as light as an endura. i put scales on all of them and now all my folders are sitting in a box together. one rides in a hoopster sheath,one in a ksf and one with the factory supplied one. its a tough decision which one goes with me each day. if you need a pry-bar, get a pry-bar. if you want the best neck/pocket carry knife ever made[imo] keep the ant.
