Found a place that carried a bunch of cool stuff including blades. Noticed they had a couple of Emersons for sale so I decided to check it out. One of them was a black blade PE Commander. Upon closer inspection I could see that the stamping had been "moved." There were the remnants of an Emerson Stamping higher up towards the spine of the blade. In addition, the liner looked thinner than usual. Not sure if it was fake or not and I guess all of this is pointless considering they had it priced at 400 bucks.

Sounds like a risky knife although it is worth mentioning that the earlier Emersons have thinner liners than the newer ones.

Nice. I have some friends who live there that I visit from time to time.

Once, I accidentally stumbled upon a place called "Power Edge" with lots of airsoft and a large knife case. They had decent Emerson prices at the time though. I actually called them about ordering Emerson knives and they told me they had to drop the line because they were just too difficult to order. Maybe they raised the prices on the last ones they had?

This place is called Ranger Sports and it's located in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.
