Problems with my 18 year + bypasses. Two of them 99% blocked, and stents were installed. Have another one 80% blocked, but doctor felt he had already been in my
arteries too long, so that one will be stented next week. Kinda makes me wonder about the state of other two bypasses, though.

For 18 years I have eaten right, controlled my weight, and exercised. But my genetics are stacked against me. So I will keep right on doing the things I have been doing.

One thing I can glean from this is that by the time I start having clear symptoms I am severely clogged up. I had 100% blockage on one side of heart and 70% on the other before the bypass surgery years ago. Doc said I was living on capillary action. However, I still have never had a heart attack. The big one will get me one of these days, if I don't fall out of the boat or a tree stand first.

Well, I'm glad to hear they are getting you squared away. Keep on taking care of yourself and doing what you love!

Every day is a new chance, I figure why dwell on my impending demise, then it'll cut into the time I have left to really enjoy the rest of whatever life I have left.

Smoke and prayers headin' your way.

I know how you feel. No male in my family has lived past 54. Not one. Heart dieses. My mom has 4 stents and she's pretty healthy except being diabetic. So chances are that at 31 I'm over half way done. I work out when I can, I eat fairly healthy and no signs of problems so far. My uncle didn't have any signs either tho and he died at 48. All we can do is make the best of what was given us, try to live well and enjoy our time. Thought and prayers to you.

Glad you caught it in time. Hope everything goes well for you. Good luck brother. Prayers from Florida.

It's hell being an old fart but like someone else said, it doesn't do any good to dwell on it. I received lousy genetics too. Last time I saw the doc he said..."well you already outlived your father". I'll keep ya in my prayers Mike.

prayers and well wishes sent out to you and your family Mike.

Best wishes Mike. Just keep on doing the things you love. Prayers your way.

HATE to hear that man..... I'd honestly love to know more about your diet as well, I have some experience in the field of nutrition and may be able to offer some advice.... sure, you probably heard it all before but maybe it's time for some second opinions as well, the eating healthy you're doing may not be enough. Herbal remedies have come a LONG way. My girlfriend is a wholistic medicine guru and I'd love to see if she has any advice for you, free of charge of course!!! (BF discount :P )

shoot me a pm if you like if not, best of luck to ya bud!

As Jason said, I'm glad they are getting you squared away. I know your attitude is always a positive one and I'll be praying for you. :)

Glad you are getting the treatment that you need to fix your ticker-pipes. Get'er'dun. :)

"Fall out of the tree stand" yep, that one is gonna get me one of these days. :p

My late father said it best, "enjoy life while you have it, dont suffer for the sake of medicine and pass on anyhow"

Why leave life a bitter old man when you can leave knowing you had a good run and no regrets. My wife knows the path I will take and she begrudgingly accepts it. ;)

Hey Mike, I hear ya!!! "Not today" is my motto and any day this side of dirt is wonderful...Prayers and smoke Brother:thumbup:
