Just got a Desert Dagger from Bayou LaFourche. Thanks Roger!!
WWW.KNIFEWORKS.COM is his addy.
He is good people over there. Ordered several times from him.
Never disappointed.

The fit and finish on this edged tool are superb. While the sheath is decent, I'll be getting one from Survival Sheath.

I already have a SOG SEAL 2000. Great as well.

Good work RON@SOG!

Regards,

Brian

Join the cast of others who love and cherish their DD's. As someone said to me on this board - "Give the DD the attention it deserves" and that will help keep your SOG affliction under control. You should also checkout the X-42 Recondo in TiNi. Beautiful....

I recently procured my DD after several walk by's at local gun shows. The last gun show was the last time I was going to walk by and NOT get it.

I'm also interested in a new sheath. Let us know about the sheath. I've heard good things about the Survival Sheath product line.

I'm going to the website right now to look at 'em.

Enjoy and have a great holiday.

Enjoy it! I think it is one of the most graceful and most well-balanced knives we make.

Merry Christmas ... off to the family I go!

EXECUTION STYLE, the DD is one of my favorite knives. Glad you like yours. Go out and use it. Mine has gone camping with me. It wittled sticks, opened packages of food, and many other cutting chores. The edge on mine is sharp, but not as sharp as my other knives. Just becarefull of those serations, they scarry sharp!:D

What style sheath are you getting from Survival Sheath? I'm thinking of making a leather IWB sheath for my Government which should fit my DD.:)

Congrats, and happy holidays!:)

Wildmanh:

Happy holidays to you as well. I have been emailing Robert H. back and forth.
I want a foldover style that I can carry IWB and OWB as well. I would like it to have a TekLok. I also have some loops for IWB carry.
I will call him tomorrow.

Wow, that sounds like it will be an awsome sheath. How much is something like that going to run you? If you don't mind my asking. Oh yeah and Pics, we want to see Pics!;)

I changed my mind. I am having a sheath made for a SOG Pentagon.
Same specs though.

One-piece foldover.
Black.
Belt loop(s).
TekLok capable.
Price is on the website.
[Edited out price...Ron@SOG]
WWW.SURVIVALSHEATH.COM is addy.
I spoke to Robert today.
He was very helpful.
I should have it in a couple o' weeks or so.

I will have one made for my DD soon though.

Happy Holidays everyone.

If you don't mind me asking could you please say why the price was edited out Ron?

Anyways, I have not had any dealings with survival sheaths ppl myself, but a friend of mine swears by them and after seeing some of his sheaths, I am sure they are a company who will end up with some of my hard-earned cash...

Wow. I just noticed that.

Ron, I apologize if I did a booboo.

"Advertising" for outside vendors is typically a no-no. I know this was a marginal one...that's why I edited it in a low-key way. I was going to email Execution Style in private to explain, but his email address was blocked.

The fine line we use here in Bladeforums is it's ok to post a link to a reference site, but to post "all info" of a product, including price, that crosses the fine line.

No one knows if you have a direct link to this vendor...most likely not. But the rules are applied as fairly as possible straight across the board. Not everything is caught. I do what I can.

I hope you understand.

I actually wondered if it was something along those lines and was hesitant to raise the issue, it was just because of the low key manner that it was done in that I was unsure.

I apologise for bringing this up... my bad :(

Oh well, hopefully it was just (as my father used to always call them) 'a learning experience' and it does not create problems.

I understand Ron. "Advertising" was not my intent.
Shan't happen again.
