Just got my knife in the mail,It was advertised as having a blade with 440C,but when I got it its stamed 154cm.Should I be happy or sad,boy this thing is light, but very sharp.

It's one of my EDCs (in 440C).
154CM is at least as good a steel.

Great knife; enjoy.

I've had the BMade 530 for quite some time. It is definitely in the 'ultralight' category of knives. The partial steel liners renders it in the light-use category, nothing heavy duty for the 530. However, what it lacks in handle strength it makes up for in agility. What I love about mine is how quickly I can deploy the blade (thanks AXIS), make my cuts, and just-as-quick fold the blade and return it to the pocket. Nobody is the wiser.

Great little cutter. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this knife.

The 530 was my first Benchmade. I now have a number of others, but keep coming back to that one. I'm still amazed at what's packed into such a small package. It does a great disappearing act in your pocket too! Highly recommended.

What I like about the 530 is that pulling back on the axis bar pops the blade out about 30 degrees, so adding in a little wrist to that and the blade just swings the rest of the way. If your blade is having a tough time swinging nicely, you might try loosening the screws holding the stop pin in just a quarter turn. A lot of the 530's I've handled don't let the blade swing easily because the stop pin is screwed in tight.

I tried opening the thing with the axis lock feature and it just made my thumb numb,so I JB welded some ball bearings in the locks cups, now its real fine.Well the bearings are really little stainless balls off a spinner bait.
