My Bk-5 just came in!
UPS screwed up delivering my Micarta but that should be resolved today.
Pics incoming.

It feels really really nice in the hand, heavier than I thought, but still very quick.
I am super excited about getting the Micarta on this bad boy.
I told my wife she can use it in the kitchen as long as she keeps it clean, and NOT in the dishwasher..lol.
I think I will be asking Mywifethinksimcrazy to make a leather sheath for this, its too nice a knife to not have better pants.

Anyway Pics incoming as soon as I can get Photo Bucket on my new phone ..lol.

Damn you! Who did you order it from? Mine apparently ships today and I ordered a couple days ago :(

My Micarta would have already been here too, but my local UPS driver is lazy and didn't bother to knock on the door.
 
you think that's bad?
I hear mine got wedged in a crack in Utah and won't be shipping until tomorrow...
 
cool man, way to make it happen even though your wife didn't take a hint and do it for you :)
 
i apparently have the best regular UPS driver ever these days.

his substitute is ... poor.

the fedex guys change all the time.

regular mail dude does the right thing, but he's a career soldier, and knows his job. he's also eligible for 900 days of vacation per day, and he takes them, so his substitutes are often careless.

so it goes...
 
Ive gotta get me one. Trying to force myself not to buy anymore until ALL the ones Ive recently purchase actually make it to the door ;)

I just noticed those two statements. LOL

I might let my wife use mine; only when I'm in the kitchen with her using it. She likes to drop things and cut digits. Plus she might through it in the dishwasher :eek:

I'll let you know what I come up with for mine :D
 
Mine is en route. I already have a nice Texas Hunt Co. ready for it.
 
As soon as you get the ridiculous black coating off she will look even sweeter. JMO of course ;) and yes i'm jealous.
 
I cant get over how good it feels.
Its a lot more sturdy than people are giving it credit for, and its so light in the hand, it practically dances.
Been playing with it a little in the back yard, trying not to freak the normals..lol it snap cuts like a monster!
The Micarta make a real difference in how positive the grip feels, not sure if it actually affects grip, but it certainly does FEEL more grippy.
It chopped big sparks off of an old seasoned landscaping 4x4 in the back until someone came out to see what I was doing .....
No marks on the coating that didn't rub out with a little oil, and the edge was freakin keen out of the box and still is now.

Good knife, real good knife.
