Just got my BK11, knife rattles in sheath - fix?

Just got my BK11 in and it's an alright knife for the money I paid (a little bit of a let down but not totally disappointed for a $30 knife or anything). My main gripe is that the knife doesn't snugly fit into the sheath - it can be rocked up/down and in/out :\ It doesn't move terribly alot, but it does make an audible sound and makes me wonder if the knife is really all that secure. Are there any quick fixes for this?

Because the sheath was designed for the Mini Tac Tool as well as the BK11, the fit is not good. This is a fairly common complaint, but I have not heard about any fixes other than make (or have made) a kydex sheath to replace the factory sheath.

Start using your necker, trust me, it will definitely grow on you. You will find yourself carrying it all the time.
 
heat it some with a blow drier, and squish it flatter?

wear gloves. hot. boiling water should do it.

i don't think i'll squish too well while the knife is in it. so, heat it, squish it flatter - put between to boards, and stand on it, remove, then insert knife, wait for cooling.

works for kydex, might work here.

otherwise, find some thin plastic as a shim, fold into a U shape, stick inside. i had to do something like this is a $350 knife factory sheath ;)
