That I can't really find anything wrong with it

Craig sent me a Sirupati with enclosed cho. I can only see a small forging flaw in the blade near the tip and little bit of resin on the handle that I was able to smooth out. With a little rubbing the resin is now nearly the same color as the rosewood.
This is my first Khukuri, and I am very pleased with it and Craig's service.

Phillip,

What size is your Sirupati? I don't own one (yet), but from the descriptions given by some of the other guys it would seem to be one hell of a fighting knife. I believe it's also a favorite among the martial artists who work out with edged weapons.

How about a little commentary on how it handles.

Phillip: Actually, your khukuri blem is one of the two chainpures I spoke about a while back. The blemish was, as you correctly put it, on the tip (seemed like a forging crack or something). But I'm glad you are happy!

Craig, thanks for the correction. I thought it was a Chainpuri, but I was not sure and the Sirupati on your site was the closest looking Khukuri. It's a real beauty either way. I will need to do some research on the Chanpuri style, and if anyone can help out with some info I would greatly appreciate it.
The knife handles really well. I have not done much martial arts training outside of Aikido, and we really don't practice with this style of blade. I have had police ASP training, and that would easily carry over the the Chainpuri. But ASP training mainly deals with striking on a diagonal, so it is not a comprehensive fighting system. Either way the few things I have done with the Chainpuri have shown that it is a very manuverable blade for its' size. It is quick handling and allows easy reversals.
The knife overall is about 15".
I don't know if the Chainpuri is designed as a fighter or as a general purpose blade, but as I will never use it as a fighter it is a moot point to me. As I said I am very happy with it.
