What a piece of work, It surprised me it weighs about 10 times what my Delica 4 s weight It hefty very nice, I would like a pinch more steel to release the lock but I will get used to it. Just picture a folding meat cleaver.
 
Please don't say too many good things about it. Thats the only Spyderco I was trying NOT to buy!!!

If you are a Syder fan you need this knife. It is a knife you can take a hammer to and chop till the end of time. This is a built knife you'll have no regrets.
 
What's the liner thickness?

The lock on the Captain is .05" thick (I'd say about average), if the Rescue has extra thick liners that's good news to me.
 
Congrats MickeyB! Just got mine today also and WOW! its a chopper. Not going to be for everyone but looks right at home next to my Captain. I feel like it belongs in the kitchen with the butcher knives...and yes, that's a compliment.
