I finaly understand why you guys wait years for a custom knife. After owning my large Sebenza for 6 months I realized I wanted something that fit me little better and was also a custom. I scoured the net looking at Kit Carson Model 4’s and Darrel Ralph EDC’s. I found a lot of Ralph’s but only one Carson. I did some research into both, decided that a Medium Model 4 was for me, and put it on layaway the day I sold my Benza.

It took about 3 weeks to pay off the Model 4 and I had it shipped. I was expecting the UPS guy to drop it off at my house at about noon before I went to work. No such luck and I had to wait through my 10-hour shift to finally touch it.

This knife rocks!!!!!! It has beautiful carbon fiber handles that mesmerize you with their 3D look. The bolsters are satin finished titanium and the blade is S90v with a clip point. Everything looks, feels, and seems perfect. I love the weight, the feel of the handle, and just the drop dead sexy look it has. Nothing I have ever seen compares to this BMW like folder. Awesome.

Thanx to everyone who helped me make this decision. Kit makes the most perfect knife you can ever imagine and Jay over at Arizona Custom Knives is great guy. I’ll post photo’s soon. I’m going to go fondle my knife now. Thanx for reading.

So you were the lucky guy that secured that medium M4 from AZCK just about as soon as it was listed :D Kit's Model 4 is a classic - elegant and functional.

These are mine: drop point and clip point medium M4s. Looking to get one with the (rare) fighter style blade to make my set complete.

I saw those two at the "other" forum. I wanted to know what a modified drop point was and got my answer.

Congrats TM. Great choice. I too was wondering who jumped on that puppy so fast :).

BTW it is OK to list the other forum names when refering to information. I think the term 'other forum' that is used quite a bit helps to hinder cooperation. (not jumping on you at all here)

I would rather see us (all the forums) work together.
(please do not thake this the wrong way)

I noticed today that I did indeed get a modified clip point on my knife.

BTW, I totally agree with you Gus. I wish others saw your logic. :)

I have two of Kit's Model 4 knives, One is CF scales and a Talonite blade, the other a more conventional version. I also have a very special custom on order. He is a fine (make that great) custom maker; congratulations on your purchase. It'll be interesting to see how his S30V blades at RC 61 compare to a well-known, high-priced factory product at RC 58.:D

Aint it good. Great knife.

He also builds fixed blades.
