Just got my CQC8 it is a awesome blade. It really is the perfect blade for me except the pocket clip wish it was lower in the pocket other than that close to perfect knife. Lock up is super strong no play. Wave feature is wicked cool. Its nice and thin for EDC and the blade shape is awesome for slashing. Just not sure about this chisel grind do you guys recommend re profiling or should i leave it. Have not had much experience with a chisel grind.
Great blade though i will be a customer of Emerson for a long time now.

str could surely make you a low rider clip, check his forum in the makers area.

while not a true chisel grind, some people prefer a traditional v grind. the only true chisel grinds i have is are a 7 and kerambit..

i have several emersons, and i dont see any disadvantage to the "modified" chisel grind they use.

I wouldn't be in a hury to have the knife re-ground. I too was leary of the EKI's grind. I have been alternately carrying a regular and mini cqc7 for about three years and I can say the asymetrical grind seems to stand up to more abuse and as an added bonus, it's very easy to sharpen. Try it for awhile and if you don't like it, you can always have it re-ground later.

yea i don't think i will mess with the grind now but the pocket clip idea seems OK. How do i get in touch with this guy?
