First off its alot lighter than I thought it would be, this things perfect for hikeing. Sharp right out of the box. The sheath rattles alittle when I'm moving around but not enough to worry me, if I was more concerned about stealth I would buy a kydex sheath or a leather one. The scales are shaped perfect for my hands but when wet they could cause problems, I'm looking for someone to beadblast the scales for a more grippier (is that really a word) surface. So far all I've done is used it in the kitchen alittle but I can tell this is gonna be my new woodswalking knife. Where was this knife years ago, it could have saved my sooo much money and disapointment with other knives........

Like others here, I also went to Home Depot and bought a dremel bit for my cordless drill, and put a choil in front of the guard for my index finger. This really changes the knife (for the better, I think), and it's a great knife to start with.

I am constantly surprised how much I like all of the features of this knife!
