. I just love the fact I can carry a knife in my left pocket without it facing backwards. Not sure if I want to expose it to salt water yet, I'll have to dirty it up somehow first.

I know what you mean! When I first got my Goddard Ltwt, and moved the clip over to the other side, and then was able to do a correct left hand draw, I was ecstatic! It just seemed so cool. Then, the same thing happened when I got my used Native. A couple minutes with a penny, and voila! another lefty knife! I truly think that design is one of the most useful in the knife world, however simple it is!

EF, is this your first Endura?

Wow, I have carried on since 1992 or so, I am always amazed by it, have gone thru about 12 of them or so, mainly due to the abuse I heap on it.

The originals with Gin 1 steel (G2) would dull a little easier, the AUS8 rust a little easier and the new ones I am not as fond of the steel clip, but I have run them thru dishwashers, salt water, used WD40 and toothpicks to clean sand and dirt from the lock notch, swam, ran climbed and biked with a trusty Endura clipped to me. At times it wa the second thing on me after the shower (first was my G-shock)

Were I to take an extended trip to wherever, I would never leave without it.

Sal, whatever other knives you choose to make, never stop producig the Endura. It is the best knife you have ever made and I am grateful to you and Spyderco for it.

Now if you would make a version of the Endura using AUS8 plain edge with Micarta linerless handles and a steel clip, I would simply drool all over myself on the way to the store. Failing that, who have you licensed to make such an item?

I'm still on my first endura, and no matter how many knives I have, when I can only pick one, it's the endura. Best folder in the market under one hundred in my opinion.

I finally used my Endura yesterday. I must admit, even though it's a pretty cheap knife as far as cost goes, I still found it hard to just abuse it right away. Anyway, I used it to gut a shark out. Whipped it out, and ran it down the belly without the smallest amount of resistance. That thing is sharp. Wiped it off with a rag and put it back in the pocket. Not a bit of rust on it yet. I'm thinking about getting another one so I'll have one for each pocket. Thanks for making such a great product Sal. I second the G10 handled Endura by the way. I just love the handle on my Renegade, and think a G10 Endura would rock. Anyways, on to my next post here.....

I loved my Endura...getting a Military now. The Endura stands up to salt water really well. I took it to 120 feet in the ocean a few weeks ago with only a few really tiny rust spots after not cleaning until two days afterward. Impressive.
