And let me say I am very, very satisfied.

This has the best fit and finish I have seen on a production knife. Everything is tight and clean, and the knife is chamfered where it needs to be for comfort, and razor sharp along all 9.5" of edge. The handle fits my (slightly large) hands great. And it is deceptively light for a big, 1/4" thick blade. Others have already commented on this likely being due to the high flat grind, which I like, but I think great balance also makes a knife feel light regardless of actual weight. For the very reasonable price, the kydex sheath is also quite nice.

p.s. I put it together with a ThruHiker in a package like this:

only I put the smaller blade a bit farther down, and at a different angle, which both gives me better access to the handle, and provides a makeshift sheath for the dangling portion of the firesteel.

How do I post pics?

Yes, I like th Extreme Judgment's width, but I didn't want a recurve. I'm still hoping for a 2" wide Fehrman chopper with a straight blade.

Very nice score. Many folks think Fehrman's are expensive, but I can assure you that they are a value at his price point. I've beat the hell out of my fehrmans, including the diminutive Shadow Scout at 3/16" stock CPM-3V. It took far more abuse than I'd expected it to take. I'm extremely impressed by the performance of the 3V, and I'm certain you will be equally impressed in time if/when you use it.

Here is a couple links for you to peruse:

Congrats on a amazing knife, from a amazing company, Eric is a top notch guy!

I have used my FJ for I think 8 years, geez time has hauled ass lol, anyway, it has kept a razor edge all this time with a simple stropping of the blade..

I have beaten the hell out of it, chopped dense wood, bone, skinned I cant tell you how many animals, prepped food for camp, it has gotten me out of some crazy situations..

Enjoy it, it will last you a lifetime and then some..

my final judgment arrived in jan. or feb. i do'nt keep records. all i've done is strop on the 18in. ferhman strop loaded with their diamond paste. after lots of wood chopping & cutting of brush it still shaves hair.great product

I just received my Fehrman Last Chance. I took it out and just beat on it and it came back unscathed. It is also a hell of a slicer as well. I may go back and add a Peacemaker.

How do I post pics?

upload them to a service like Photobucket. Then post the image code.
If you use photobucket, when you highlight the pic, it gives you a choice of several codes. One of those is the IMG code. copy that and paste that in your post.

If you just have a web address of the pic, use the picture tool (it looks like a post card) on the "reply to thread" popup. Paste the web address of the pic into that and click OK.
