I just got my first Becker, a BK2, this week. I have to say it has been impressive right out of the box! When you hold that knife in your hand, well, I just cant explain it but you know what I mean. I took it out and ran it through some chopping, batoning, etc. and it was quite impressive. I couldn't believe how fast it made short work out of decent size trees/limbs, it definitely made the wood submit, lol.
I am planning on putting stainless hardware on the handle, stripping it and forcing a patina. I like the stock handles and plan on wrapping them with grip tape for now. Overall, this has been the best knife purchase I've ever made. I'm so impressed with my BK2 I have a BK9 on the way. If it's anything like it's little brother I'm sure I wont be disappointed. I cant wait to get back out there and use this quality tool. Thank you, Mr. Becker and Ka-Bar for making such a quality product and selling it at an affordable price!
