Jerry and friends, I just got my first knife, a satin natural outlaw.

I had taken a photo of it, but I think this being my first post, I dont have forum privelidges to post photos i think

Anyway, as the title says, my NO has no bussecombat logo.

Do you know why? is this a unfinished blade?

and will this decrease the value of my knife should I ever decide to sell it?

PS how do I go about getting photos of it posted here?

None of the SFNO's I've seen had any markings. I'm assuming you're talking about the SFNO model.

Few CG (combat grades) do. The tradition of sterile/unmarked blades continues to be a consumer preference.

Some e-handled models were marked.

The lack of markings should not affect resale value. Wait, you mean you'd sell your first Busse!!! HOLY CRAP!!!

Just kidding.

No worries man.

Oh yeah, send me (wood149479@aol.com) the pics and I will post. Please scale them down b4 you send as there are posting limits on BladeForums. Be sure to use "Busse Pics" in the e-mail subject.

Yep, Mike hit it the nail on the head. Most Busses are unmarked, or "sterile," for military reasons. And no, your resale value is gonna be fine :D

Here are Nands pics.

Still workin on pic 2. Havin resizing problems. Fluggin computers...

Awesome Pic Nand!!! Very cool!

It shouldn't affect the resale. But, if you'd like our logo on the blade, please send it back and we'll take care of it for you.

Oh man. You continue to be really hard to deal with Jerry. I don't know how we all put up with you ;) :D

Thanks for posting that photo thatmguy, not sure whats wrong with the 2nd photo I particularly like the way ive got my laptop showing Jerrys photo of the Fusion Steelheart in the background!

Jerry, thanks for the offer, but I dont think I will send it back to you guys. One reason is postage costs.
But another reason is because Im in Singapore - I went into a local knife/military shop whose staff told me that my action of ordering from you was illagal as you have to be registered to import knives into my country  I think this might be true. Thus I dont not want singapore customs to confiscate my NO  . But hell, Im still probably gonna buy another one!

What was funny was that when the guy handled my unbranded Natural Outlaw he said immediately "thats a nice piece. its a busse right".... at which point I was really smiling proud

Yup even in singapore they know busse.

I specified a sterile NO, because I don't want to have to explain to some moron that this is a tool, not some fantasy ego trip out of a Stallone/Arnold movie. Yes Busses see combat, but mine won't (the daily urban grind doesn't count, in this case- other tools for that). I'm not going to give any green horn DA an excuse to make me front page news for the "war on terror" - that starts with responsible use and trickles down to every detail.

Besides, as you've already found out, people recognize a Busse - at least the people who pay a reasonable resale price will. Given the market size, it would probably be too much effort to counterfeit them anyway.
