Just Got My First Emerson; This Has To Be a Defect, Right?

Emerson Onyx arrived today. Its liners do not seem parallel and seem to be pinched at the middle stand off (note how it isn’t even centered)…

This can’t be correct, right?

What should I do?

No bueno. Send it back. Something’s off about that standoff.

I think the standoff is defective. It looks too small on one side. I dont think a regular standoff would fit that far into the scale. My guess is the standoff shoulder was ground down too far.

It’s disappointing it arrived this way, it was purchased directly from the Emerson site.

I don't own one. By your picture, they could have finished out the rear of the blade. Liners.

They look as stamped, finish. Scale fit, also by your picture. That sucks. Ones longer then other.

QC slips do happen, but you have to wonder if the person who assembled it was awake at the time..... it's a fairly obvious issue when you look over the knife!
