Anyone recognize the symbols near the handle?

Great knife you got there!

1st Pic - UB stands for Uncle Bill, all knives made after his passing, carry the UB mark in memorium. The symbols are for the factory in Nepal, it's in Devangari
2nd Pic - The symbol (forgot what it's called, it's not the Nazi symbol) stands for Thamar kami, the Devangai script is his initials.

This may be pedantic, but the symbol does appear to be a swastika. However, the swastika as a symbol predates the Nazis by millennia, and has long been a symbol of religious significance in many parts of the globe, particularly in and to the east of the Indus river valley, and is particularly common in the Indian subcontinent without any, repeat any reference to Nazism. In fact in Hinduism it often refers to Vishnu, an important Hindu deity, or merely to God. It also has a number of other names I won't go into.

It's my understanding the the word "swastika" for this symbol actually is derived from from the sanskrit word for the symbol, while "fylfot" is actually a term used in british heraldry to describe the same symbol.

Its actually a very old design with roots in Taoism, its a represents eternity. It has been used by other cultures to mean different things. The Nazi's hijacked it and its facing a different direction. Adolf was in to the occult big time and he used a lot of symbolism in his reign. Its a shame that it is associated with that demon.

The same symbol has been found on egyptian artifacts from 4000 BC, so I think it's origin pre-dates Taoism by a long time.
