I just received my first Microtech - a tip-up, satin-bladed manual Mini SOCOM (mere mortals in Michigan aren't allowed to have evil, deadly autos), which I got from the nice people at Arizona Custom Knives. It is a beauty and feels great in my hand. I'll have take and post a photo when I get home tonight. Just thought I'd share my excitement.

Nice knife the mini socom, I have one and like it alot, though I carry it's big brother the regular socom manual action.

I used to have a full size SOCOM, what a great knife. I hear that the mini SOCOMS are top notch as well.

Just had time to take a few mediocre photos of my new Mini Socom Elite after getting home from my 10-year old's first baseball game of the season (34 degrees by the end of the game = springtime in Michigan!)

If I can manage to not drown in this puddle of drool, I would love to have one of those. Looks like a great design, strong lock, blade looks wicked.

SOCOM elite tantos that are MA are rare, the mini SOCOM elite are good ones imho. much better than the std mini SOCOM imho, larger too.

I know that the earlier mini SOCOM had a liner lock rather that a frame lock, but what is the difference between a mini SOCOM and a mini SOCOM Elite?

Here's another picture from last night's quicky photo shoot.

the std mini SOCOM is a little smaller than the elite, quite a bit really and the framelock is the main diff. oh and by 'quite a bit' its probably like a quarter inch or so, so not that much i guess. i expected them to be the same. my wife really likes her mini elite.
