I love going to pawn shops and lately I've been on a lucky streak and finding some good stuff. Last night I decided to go to one because they were having a Black Friday sale, and they had a Buck 116 which I kinda had my eye on but was a tad too much, but with the sale would be a steal.

I get there and the lady tells me the 116 had just sold a few minutes ago, dang! But I look over and see this little beauty. And I manage to pick it up for only $32Cad.

The reason I think it got looked over is that it was so filthy it no longer fully opened under spring tension. But at least the past owner obviously used the heck out of it, which actually makes me happy in a way.

The inside wasn't looking so hot either.

Amazing what a little soap and water can do.

All back together and oiled up. It now opens fully again under spring tension like it's supposed to.
I feel like you can always tell the quality of something by how easy it is to take apart and put back together, and this knife clicked back together like a fine swiss watch.

Later I sharpened it with my lansky, and I was surprised how nicely it sharpened. Because it's S30V I was expecting a difficult time being my first time sharpening this metal.

Ah yes, the 350 is the gateway zt, my first zt also, now you will definitely want to pick up a 562! YUUUGE difference, IMO.

I think my first ZT, and also first >$200 knife, was an 0561 - back in the day when having a Ti Framelock and a bearing pivot were relatively uncommon for production folders.

They've become more focused on aesthetics as of late, but the build quality has definitely improved as well.

Nice clean up for just $24 US. Hard to beat that deal for a ZT user. Congrats!

My 1st ZT was a 0562 that I paid $150 for plus $10 for a new clip but I've got 19 now. ;)

My first ZT is a purple anodized 0801 with full ti hardware for $150 second hand. Still have it today.

Do you have to send the knife in or will they mail one out to you?
I think they always want to replace the blade in house. It's not a bad thing as they can check the lock up to the frame.

Generally, springs and torsion bars they will send you directly as they are pretty much drop in parts.

Wow great score and nice job cleaning her up! My first ZT was supposed to be a 0450CF that I ordered on Amazon but they sent me a 0452cf by mistake, even though the box said “0450cf” and matched the serial number that was on the knife. I don’t know how that happened but I’ve been hooked ever since and the 0452 series is still my favorite knife! Welcome to the club

I have the same 0350. great little knife. Not sure if you know..but you can call ZT and they will send you new screws, pocket clip and torsion bar for free, just in case you want to spruce it up a bit. Also, ZT will put a new blade on it for $30 if you ever break it or just want a new blade. I did this on my 0566.
