I just got my JYD and Needs Work in today.
All I can say is wow. The ergos of both are great.
OTB both were very sharp. The Needs Work split hair a
little better then the JYD, but that isn't a big deal... I always
reprofile my knives to the edge I like. The Needs Work reflects
it's name in that it begs to work for you. I was kind of scared I
wouldn't like the polymer scales. I was very pleasantly surprised.
It really has a very good feel to it and the AO is just awesome.
It has a really big kick to it and snaps with great authority.

The JYD is.....well built like a small tank. For it's size it really feels
bigger then it is. This is one puppy that has more bite then bark. The fit
and finish on it is top notch. This is my 1st flipper and I have no problem at
all deploying the blade. Some others have noted they don't care much for
the clip, I personally love it. It looks great and feels good in the hands.
I always expect a great knife from Kershaw, but for around $80 for 2 knives...
shipped, they met my expectations and then some.

Thanks Kershaw.
You made 2 really great knives for a very nice price. With the fit and
finish of both knives they could easily be priced higher and still be a great deal. :)

yeah, the needs work is awesome. i love that little knife. if kershaw made a bigger version of that knife, i would buy that too.
