Just got my K390 Police 4 and...

Sal, I love it! The wider blade and bigger hole freaking rock!!!. I like the BU K390 steel too. I can't wait to see how it holds up.
M390 is my favorite steel so if you ever make one in that I will buy it too.

I have 2 police 3 G10's and love them but always wanted a slightly bigger hole.

I love M390 as well but as I understand it K390 is easily as good and probably better.
I'm looking forward to trying it some day.

I love very stainless steels. K390 is not stainless. It is a high carbide fine particle steel that really holds an edge...a giant improvement over VG-10.

But I like the high chromium steels best of all. The police 4 is kind of like a G10 +size endura...with exotic alloy.

Very, very nice.

I will note this though...properly honed it is difficult to beat VG-10 in sharpness...it is amazing to me in this regard.

YMMV.

I do like VG-10. It's good stuff.
Not in the same league as M390 for edge retention . . . M390 takes such a great edge as well.
no stainless . . . M4 just ''''FEELS'''' even better to me. I can't describe it . . . the way it sharpens (bur ? ? ? well it was there a second ago but just disappeared on it's own) . . . the way it touches up . . . I expected shave sharp and got tree topping . . . OHHHHHHHKAY I'll take it ! . . . how it precision cuts . . . sounds like BS but the edge is getting a little less than scrape hair sharp but just keeps taking off curls and shavings on difficult to carve material and does it EXACTLY the way I need it to . . . S110V was NEVER like this ! ! ! !

I'm building myself up and thinking K390 is going to be right about there too.

Mr Bagger,

I kept going & trying on my S110V partly because of your other post. Still can’t have it to same level as my VG10 or M4 for that matter. Apparently I’m not alone ;)
 
yep the k390 police 4 is a great knife. so far in my use of k390 in a mule and the police 4, ive been impressed.
 
OK I'll start with the photos and I don't even own one.

Will anyone post a photo showing the thickness of the handle.
I'm hoping for 12mm or thicker (~1/2 inch). That would be thicker than the Endura 4 and nearly as thick as a Case Sodbuster or Trapper.

Yes this new Police looks like a Knife.

Well, found one that hadn't been hit by the price change yet, researched and found that the FRN version is probably still a year out, and ordered a Police 4 G10! My first, and probably last, modern knife purchase in a long while.
