Wow. Just got my Kydex Tuckable IWB for my Beretta 96 from www.fist-inc.com

First of all, they said on the phone and their site that there is about a two week wait. Well, I ordered mine last thursday, and here it is Friday, and its on my hip!

$hit their kydex is THIN!!! They are NOT kidding when they say "Ultra-thin kydex"!!! It is VERY low-profile. However, it still retains shape perfectly for one-handed reholstering.

I was planning on wearing it in front, about 1 or 2 o'clock position, but that doesn't seem to work incredibly well. Strong side hip (right for me) seems like its going to be my best bet.

Where do you all carry? Hip, front, SOB? Where???

Anyway, to anyone looking for one, I HIGHLY recommend these holsters. Fits my gun perfectly, shipped in HALF the time they said, and pretty cheap. (I think around $70 shipped 2nd day air!)

If you don't mind, please post how comfortable it is for all day carry in a week or so. I heard those Kydex IWB holsters are uncomfortable for extended carry. I have thought about getting one.

Thanks, Reagan

Will do! I've read that its wise to wear a t-shirt between your skin & the kydex... We'll see...I'm starting with it tomorrow!!!

Hey SOX, sorry bout the delay buddy! Been so busy...

Anyway, I LOVE my holster. VERY comfortable. Wearing it with khakis and a polo, no undershirt, 8 hours a day. 4 o'clock position. Slightly awkward when driving...oh well... No problems chafing or anything, and my Beretta 96 COMPLETELY disappears, even on my skinny a$$! :D For some reason, it works better at 12 or 1 o'clock with shorts...go figure...

I'm glad I went with kydex over leather, for several reasons:

a) Kydex is cheaper
b) Lower maintenance
c) I could see sweat being a problem with leather; soaking in and ruining it. This is a non-issue with kydex.

My ONLY complaint is the wearing of the finish on the trigger guard and under the barrel. Oh well...I still have to learn to not be so anal about my stuff....

Anyway, hope this helps!!!

One more thing...

Depending on the size of the gun, I would NOT recommend a cant. Should work for a smaller gun, but not a 96!!! Mine is straight up and down, and works fine. I *think* a cant would be slightly easier to draw from in the 4 o'clock position, but the problem is that it forces the muzzle to stick out from your body further. It doesn't really show, but I feel self-concious about it.

"Honey, does this gun make my butt look fat???" :D :D :D :p

All I do is just tilt it a little on my own, and while its not the same as having it made that way, it works...
