Just got my lionsteel today and love it.this knife is made to take abuse and the locking frame lock awesome.the only better made spyderco I think is the vollotton.if you have the cash get the lionsteel you wont be upset.I have the sr-1 but the spydyhole is better then the thumbstuds.
 
No its close but I don't think the fit will be solid.u don't like g-10 eather u want the aluminum sr-1 handle with the spiderhole blade from the lionsteel?.I love spiderco but I'm not a fan of g-10 feels so cheap and is weak I wish they would move to aluminum.that's the one thing I don't like in the para2.if they make para2 in titanium aluminum or stainless like the military sprint then u have a edc that cant be touched the g-1o is such a mistake in my opinion.I have the whole zt line and the lionsteel tops them all except for the 0777 its in a league of it its own but the microtech copy in my opinionis better not by much.the lionsteel is a great hard working knife the locking frame lock makes sure it wont fail so chopping and botoning is safe and easy.that blade can do some damage.love elmax steel some of the new microtech ultra have elmaxx and I love it.get a lionsteel you wont regret it the quality of it makes it spidercos best made but its made in Italy by lion.only if they got rid of the g-10.if they put a spiry hold on the sr-1 it would be the bestcedc out there.this lion is up top with my vollotton.just love her to.I have 2 custome vollotton autos and they shine so good looking with that stained glass Damascus and I'm no longer a fan of Damascus.real pricy though but worth it.get the lionband rule the urban jungle

Also, G10 is not weak, strength testing reveals it is on par with CF, maybe even stronger in some applications. Ti , Aluminum or steel would weigh more so it'd be silly to substitute them in unless it's for aesthetic purposes.

Other ZT knives utilize Elmax blade steel, the 0551 as well as the 0561. Neither is weak, nor lacking in any respect.

So, Damascus looks good yet you're no longer a fan? :confused:

What is botoning??? What's a spiry hold??? How do I go about getting a lionband to rule the urban jungle?
 
Its hard as hell to type with this kindel it changes my words its a real pain .sorry I think g-10 feels cheap and I'm not the only one but I love spyderco .I have problem getting words together also its a kind speach and writing impedament also terrets syndrome so it makes real hard to do.thanks for beeing a Ass like everybody else in my life and picking on me.its hard for me to get my point accross I repeat it allot.but thanks for pointing it out I'm sure you have no problems.I never said it was weak it feels weak.you just want to pick on me thanks I was just giving my opinion.yes and I don't like Damascus that much anymore I like the way it looks but some high carbon rust easly and some are Baird to sharpen and way yo expensive.get over the fact that I don't like g-10 bore did I say I don't like zt.I get you don't like me but I never pointed out you're faults or problems just font post in my threads.its people like you who have made my life realy hard with the terrets you have no idea what its like to be messed with and not fit in. If this was someone else who didn't like g-10 or cant get a grasp on typing or speaking without stuttering and hugging out I bet you would just talk about it not pick on him.thanks you're a very nice guy.

It would be easier to read your text if you divided it with paragraphs.

I also like metals more that G10, but I think the G10 part of the lionspy is to make it less pricey.
 
By the way batonning a locked folder is really bad for your knife. It can destroy the stop pin and lock bar, and probably the lock down feature on SR-1's. If you insist on batonning a folder do it with the lock disengaged. Not picking on you, just throwing some friendly advice out there. I will say that I think batonning any knife is rather pointless esp. a folder, but that really is for a different thread. Glad to hear you like the Lionspy. It seems to be a polarizing knife, some really don't like it. Throw some pics up if you can.

Sorry for coming across as a jerk; I must have been in a bad mood when I posted here and should have cut you some slack. :foot:

I figured your post was similar to many others I've seen from new users lately that are just fishing for a response/trolling/banned users returning and I responded with both barrels which was innappropriate.

I'm glad you like the LionSpy; I've handled one in person and it's a stellar knife with quality materials.

Although I feel g10 is a good strong substitute, I personally don't like it when it doesn't have some kind of liner. I love g10 when it is lined, it is actually one of my favorite materials. Unlined I don't like the feel for whatever reason. The lionspy looks like a fun folder, I am glad you like it.
