Well, I fianally decided to sell the BM806 AFCK. And with the extra cash, I added a Manix, Endura 4, Delica 4, and a small wetterlings hunters axe to my collection (sorry Benchmade, I kinda traded companies on that one). The Manix is the only knife to arrive, and so far, I'm impressed! As everyone says: "This thing is HUGE!" It is big for a EDC folder, but it fits suprisingly well into my loose fit jeans, I cannot even feel it standing or sitting (aside from the noticable weight on that side). the fit and finish is pretty good, the blade is slightly bent, but I can live with that, it's the minute vertical blade play that kind of bothers me, deciding whether or not to send it in, has anyone else had this problem? Aside from the tiny blade play, this thing is solid, sharp, and cool to look at. As with all spyderco's, the ergonomics are perfect, and the grind is aligned like a custom! Great knife, can't wait for the others to come!

the blade does not sit square in the handle, it has a slight curve to the right when looking down on it while it is closed.

no, the blade play is in the loose tolerance of the pivot pins, not left to right. I tried tightening to the point of not being able to flick it open, but the blade play did not change at all.

If you flick it more and more, the vertical blade play may start to go away.

Just my two cents.

Enjoy your new knife!
