Just got my Military

Wow, I am impressed. I own a Sebenza and the Military impresses me. That's saying a lot. The ball detent is very good, as good as the sebenza! What I love about this knife is that you can just rinse it with water and blow dry it. That's all the maintainence required. You don't have to take it apart like the sebenza to clean it. I do have a question reqarding the pivot though. Should I oil it? with what? and how often?
 
Glad to hear you like your Military. They are awesome for sure. Use Miltec-1 or Tuf-Glide to lube the pivot. I oil mine every time I touch up the edge. Which is usually bi-weekly or so.
 
You've got a great knife there. The Military is my favorite next to my Sebenza. It ain't pretty but it works like a mule.
 
Ever since I've had my Military, when I hold the Sebenza, my hand seems a bit uncomfortable. I think the Military's handle is just too comfortable! Is that bad? It has spoiled me. The Sebenza's handle is just too straight, it's not very ergonomic.
 
I have been carrying my S30V native so long now, I never thought I would carry anything else. This is a beautiful, beautiful knife. Knowing that I will get a lifetime of good use out of it, I almost want to just keep it perfect and look for it.
 
IMO Mil tec works best.It seems that tuf glide stiffens the action a little on mine.
 
Btw if you would like to get a couple cool mods done to it you can bead blast the clip after it gets scratched up,this holds up very well.
You can also take out the backspacer and send it to SCRebel_1957 and he can mill it out and install a glowring viel.

Just got the Military w/partial serrations. WOW! A great knife. I had up to now thought the BM AFCK was king-o-the-tacticals. Me-thinks the Military just won that spot in my eyes.
 
How well centered are the blades in your S30V Millies? I just wondered what the chances would be of having the blade fairly well centered if I bought one online ?

Mine seems to be as centered as most of my folders. No rubbing the "walls." :cool:
