Just Got My Mini Jungle

They're pretty neat, aren't they? Mine just bit me for the first time ever when I was cleaning it today. It cut just like a surgical blade on the right index finger tip. Guess I was taking it for granted. I've only used ceramic sticks on it once and the edge stays in great shape.

Congrats on your good purchase. It's really a whole lot more knife than it appears and I take mine almost everywhere.

Thanks for starting this thread and welcome to the forum, Ben. Looking forward to your posts....Dan

PS, what kind of stuff have you been doing with it? How did you decide on the MJ, and is the handle wood or horn?

I've only had it for 6hrs. so I haven't done anything with it yet but look and feel (looks ok but there is something like a broken wax seal on onw side of the handle, don't know what that is) It has a horn handle (I'm a sucker for horn)and I got it because I needed a large knife and it looked like a more interesting piece than a ka-bar or a Becker (and I can't afford a large Busse)

Thanks for the note on the seal Berkley it comes off easily enough (just like sealing wax, which I guess it is) and Craig I think it is a hell of a knife too and it IS pretty.

I personally think the MJ is on hell of a knife. So small, yet 3/8 of an inch thick.

Congratulations for your purchase.
I have one I traded with a friend and it is a very interesting small khukuri. Very quick and sharp, mine came. I like small, quick khukuris and this one is no exception.
