WOW! what a sweeet little knife. looks like i have no more need for a small sebenza. this is EXACTLY the knife i have been looking for for about a year. compact, SHARP, rust proof, simple. perfect. thanks very much!!

VACTOR;
Man, you got that right. Mine is always around my neck. Never know its there until you want to cut something. This is my EDC with out a doubt. I usually carry both my Talon and my mini but always carry the mini. Its GREAT!

oh, and the best part is that i got it for $129!! man, LOVE this thing. i just ordered a mini tek lock as i dislike neck carry generally. but it also disappears nicely just in my pants pocket. this thing ROCKS!

well, after fondling it and cutting everything i could get my hands on, here are the results. knife is SHARP as all get out. fits my hand PERFECTLY. god blade shape for all general cutting putposes. love the 'file work', provides extra grip. all in all a GREAT ergonomic design. love it.

a few niggling complaints: where the grind starts at the base of the blade, one side starts about 1mm further up than the other side. the tip is only sharpened on one side, maybe it adds tip strength, but still cuts fantastic...

all in all, i LOVE this knife!!!

Vactor,

Remembering that it is not with me, as I recall my Mini-Talon is sharp on both sides at the point. I think when it is sharpened the point is somtimes slightly missed.

I know that if you look at my Talon from the top the tip looks a little off-center, but it is really not. It is just that when sharpened the tip on the larger one was missed a little on one side. They are both great knives.

now if only this AMAZING knife came in a better sheath. it is entirely too big and has no clip for belt carry. the mini tek lock fits, but is built like a tank (LARGE) and does not offer an angled draw position, and it needs a belt loop to keep from sliding. a nice simple clip, like on a pager for instance, in a minimalist sheath would be perfect. any ideas? BTW, this knife is PERFECT for the Urbanist. small, cuts like nothing i have ever seen, no corrosion, and LEO friendly.

vactor,
Glad you like the MINI TALON! SOunds like you want a kydex sheath that clips on your belt, and is setup at an angle to your belt....at an angle just the way you like it. HUMMMM sounds like a custom sheath job to me. Bob Baily at Elite Tactical Carry Systems or Normark should be able to take care of you.

Myself, for wearing the MiniTalon around town, I loop a piece of para cord through the rivet hole, and "cow hitch" the cord around my belt. I then simply drop the sheath in my front pocket. It makes a nice little slip sheath.

Either way, glad you like the knife!
