Yo,
It's been a while since I've ordered any knives. For a while I was fairly low on funds and had to unload all of my higher end productions and customs. Now that I have a decent paying job, I've been itching for a new knife to throw into the EDC rotation. After looking back at customs and other higher end productions, I finally decided to go with the Para 2; I just like the design too much. I used to EDC a Para 1 some years ago, but eventually sold it to "trade up" toward more expensive knives. I've missed having one since.
Anyway, on to the knife. I decided to go with the DLC coated blade. I don't care about any tactical applications of a coated blade. I've been EDCing a DLC coated Military for maybe a year now and I like the idea of the coating showing wear from use over time. For those that haven't used any of Spyderco's DLC coated blades, theirs is the toughest coating I've used on a folder. It takes a lot more work, relatively speaking, to wear down on their DLC coating compared to the coating you might find on Benchmades and other companies. I don't care for fancy steels; S30V works just fine for me. I ordered this from Knife Works. They shipped my order out quickly and gave me a perfect Para - centered blade, early lock up, smooth action and they gave me the version with the black screws that I requested.
Below are some pics for your clicks. Also in the pics are a Military and a Mac's Customs SST-550 (550 lumens with one cell:thumbup
