OMG, I LOVE this thing!!! I've read stuff about the F/F being a bit more primitive then other knives in this price range, but I have to say, I am not seeing it. It is a pretty simple design, but there are no tool marks on mine, and the tolerances look pretty darn tight to me. I bought the knife for it's other qualities-- it's brute size and tank-like nature, but what a pleasant surprise to see that it is so very well finished as well! Maybe I just got lucky.

I was thinking about the SnG, to complement the seb 21, but I figured, let's see what a little bigger version looks like. Boy am I glad I went with this one. It just feels so nice and meaty, and looks so refreshingly intimidating when deployed. I love the clunky sound it makes when it locks in place. Sounds like someone closing a steel trap door. "CLONK"

So this completes my little folder collection, the corner pieces being the classic recommendations of the seb 21 and the SmF. A couple of lesser priced pieces fill it out. My fixie is the Kabar USMC. Quite the buying spree, for one month's work.

Now I just need a big chopper. Don't need more folders, although I have been eying a ZT, but it is probably too similar to the SmF. Might look around for a custom at some point, but at the moment I am pretty satisfied. I'll probably go back to just readinge, lurking and posting for awhile.

Definately! It looks like you got a good range on the folders, from the Leeks to the Strider/Sebenza. There are many custom folders out there and get ready for the ride as not many people can buy just one!!:)

Btw, congrats on breaking the Leeks in. Did you ever get a torx set for your knives?

One month? Nice work!:)

I just got an SMF recently as well and was surprised that the fit and finish was so good. All of the complaints on the boards had me a little worried. The older gens had the spotty QC apparently.

Congrats man, SmF's are awesome blades, I have 3 myself. :D

in yrs past some of my SKI's had "iffy" F&F and all had a bad spot somewhere or another even if it was small but the last one i had an SnG of recent manufacture was 100% in that area and had as good a F&F as most anything i have seen, maybe not like a seb but certainly comparable to BM or spyderco, and those 2 are pretty good usually.
