Received my green/black G-10 and gray blade waki and kydex sheath on Thursday. They are litterally a work of art! I have owned a lot of custom blades from one off Onions to Busse custom shops and this is absolutely one of the finest I have had to date.
The fit and finish of the waki itself is outstanding. The scales are hand fitted and shaped to the tang with an exacting eye. The finish on the blade is even and well applied. The factory edge is keen and decently well honed. The grind lines are even and well done.
The Buy Brown sheath fits exactly with no rattle. It locks the waki in place yet allows for a speedy draw. The kydex is evenly formed and the gromets are all well seated with precision. While it is rare to get a kydex sheath of this size with no ripple or wave to the surfaces but this one is a perfect work of precision.
The best part of getting this waki was that Eric called me because I had purchased a black with tan/black G-10 off the site (only thing left I thought) but as it turned out it was out of stock. He offered me HIS new grey with green/black G-10 out of the waki run! needless to say that is above and beyond the call of duty for customer service!
Outstanding is not word I use lightly but it certainly is appropriate here.
