Hi everybody. I just received my new Roger Linger Bushcraft knife , with spearpoint and green micarta handle slabs . Here is what I have to report.
Its turned out to be, about the best knife buying experience , I have ever had. The knife, is just flawless. This afternoon I finaly got to get outside and try it out on some branches around the house , and as I expected it carved wood with ease. taking large chips out at once , smoothly and with presision. The flattened , or squared off spine is a really cool part of this knife , to be used as a scraper on a fire steel , or for wood shavings dust.
All in all I will say , that this a very robust and razor sharp peice , that any Scandi grind lover out there would like. Roger is great to deal with, keeping me updated with emails , and pictures . Thats a nice touch. Also , he worked with me on the design . I wanted a dropped point , and green micarta slabs , and he said , no problem. In closing Ill say I ,highly recomend Roger Linger to anyone looking for quality workmanship ,and crafstmanship , and a great guy to buy a knife from........see my bushcraft knife at thread....

Woodlore,
I have 3 of Rogers knives, 2 being Bushcrafts. Your right about Roger, he is great to deal with and makes one hell of a sweet blade, enjoy your Bushcraft, I love mine. :D

Very nice looking piece. Glad to hear it's as good a user as it is a looker.

What nice looking piece? I get an error message when I go to the link he provided.

I thought I would help Woodlore and post the photo of his knife.

What a great looking knife! :-) I like everything about it, the S30V steel, the green canvas Micarta handle, and the nickel silver Corby bolts.

I'll have to go grab my nearest equivalent and use it some more. Here is a picture. The bolts are the same.... :D

Don,
That sure is a great looking Wheeler OSF knife. Did Jamie Briggs make that sheath?

Myakka,

Glad you like it. Yes. :D

A fuller report is here:
OSF Knife

Since that should answer most questions  I'll keep this response short.

I'd had my fill of watching the projected track of Hurricane Jeanne, which is almost certainly going to become Florida's 4th Hurricane this season, so I noticed the response in my email after fleeing the TV. I know you certainly suffered from Hurricane Charley!
