Just got my Woo!

I picked up a Wicked Knife Co. Woo at the Dixie Gun & Knife Classic this past Saturday. I was wondering if anyone has any tips about care or carry.

I have already added paracord to the handle and am thinking about replacing the neck cord with chain. The knot in the neck cord is irritating and it doesn't conceal well with my work clothes.

All input welcome! Thanks in advance!

I tried chain on my WOO for a while but went back to paracord because the sheath sliding back and forth on the chain was noisey. You can make the paracord thinner by pulling all or some of the strands out of it.

Another option for silencing the chain is to thread it through a 2-3" length of shoelace and run that through the sheath holes. No more annoying rattle of chain in kydex!

Shouldn't be much to worry about as far as care, just wipe clean when done and keep some lube on it. The parkerizing does a decent job of protecting the blade, but will wear off fairly easy with use. Cut away! I also tried the chain for a while but didn't like the noise, I may go back and try the shoelace trick.

Remove the stuffing from the paracord & tie the knot at the sheath. It'll be smooth around your neck and thinner too. Also you can (if righty) loop the cord around your belt on the left hip belt loop & put woo IWB on the right. Makes a dandy quick (rip cord??) sheath. Can also use a larger para cord loop and make a figure 8 shoulder rig.
Aint woo fun?!

One day, when you have reached the state of Woo Nirvana and have become a Woo Guru, perhaps you can also own a FRANKENWOO!

the4th... did you coat the paracord handle wrap on yours with epoxy? It looks a little like it in the picture.

Also, I think you have mentioned it before, somewhere, but how did you do the index finger serrations on the grip? How long did it take?

Thanks.

Cut a piece of paracord the length of the bead chain. Pull out all the strands except a couple, which you tie to the end of the bead chain. Pull the bead chain thru the now empty "sleeve" of paracord. The idea is to have the ends of the paracord stop at the sheath. Method #2 is to cut a short piece of cord, pull out the innards, and sleeve the bead chain where it runs through the sheath. This really silences everything nicely. Remember to melt the ends of the cord, and have fun!

Rockspyder,
I didn't use any sealant or fixative on the wrap. I just knotted it as I wrapped.

I don't recally how long it took to put the serrations in the knife. I did it one night while watching a movie with some friends. I used a small "V" file. (Pay closer attention to the spacing than I did.)

Thanks, the4th. I think I might give that a try.
