I love this knife...the blade geometry is so sexy, it's super tough and very functional.
I was messing around tonight in my testing grounds, the recycling bin
. I carved out 3-4 soda cans at first, but soon got bored so I tried a thicker soup/vegetable style can...cut right through. No damage on the knife blade, no scratches anywhere and the knife could still easily cut paper...ok, so maybe other knives can do this too..who cares, this novice knife collector was impressed
It's competitor was the Benchmade 722...I chose the X-Ray because it is far better in the looks dept., IMO (BM is plain :-/), had a very similar lock and was cheaper. Very happy with my decision.
In the same package that I got from Knife Outlet today, was the Lansky Universal sharpener I ordered. What angle is the X-Ray sharpened at?
This is my 2nd SOG...I'm very impressed with the quality and looks of all their models. You guys have made a believer out of me
. Thanks for a great knife.
