Hey guys,

I just house sat for my Fiance's family this week while they were on vacation. Scored $120 just for feeding their dog and watching their 50" HD TV with like 1000 channels.

Anyway I'm in a heck of a pickle deciding what I want to spend it on. I've narrowed it down to two options:

ESEE-3MIL + Handle scales for my Izula

or

Magpul MS2 sling + QD rear swivel for my AR + Izula scales

I've wanted an ESEE3-MIL for the longest time and havent bought a knife in nearly a year. I also need scales for my Izula

Sling + 2 attachments= AR DONE. However if I went this route, I'd be stuck on a single point system (which is ok for now) for a while until better forward sling attachments for the MS2 become available (which will be over the next couple months). Honestly I think I'm ok with not having a sling right now, Im thinking of postponing it til Christmas. By then, Magpul's RSA will be out which is the one I'm looking at, but I've heard there'll be more options from other companies soon too.

I forgot to mention that if I get the sling and swivel, I'll still have enough money to get a set of izula scales too.

What do yall think I should do?

P.S.- I was going to set up a poll but Either I'm a grade A moron or the option to set up a poll has been taken away lol.

Because you asked this question in the ESEE forum I'm thinking you need a little kick in the a...... right direction!!! ;)
 
i would go with the esee 3. We had a guy last deployment who had the QD with single point and it would hit on his kit all the time and his rifle would fall. I think is a great idea on paper but thats about it.
 
3 clip point :). Toss a web on the AR for now. Unless you're out there and carrying it every day, a single point can wait.
 
I agree Jake but we aren't here cause of AR's. ;)
Out of curiosity what ESEE/RAT's do you have?
 
your AR is gonna be "done"? yah, RIGHT! like my rock crawler is ever gonna be done! I've called that sucker "done" at least 3 times in last few years! lol!

get the 3! - and I'd buy a little ammo with the rest! (the Izula scales don't do it for me)

now buy something QUICK! before their bill comes and you have pay them back for all those "special" programs you were watching! :)

I concur with the other posters thoughts an the AR.

Here's another thought... Reserve one of the HEST Folders now & you can save up the rest of the money between now & December.
 
I'm totally with saving till the end of the year for the HEST folder to come out!
 
Just buy it all on credit! That's like free money right there!

I think I'm going to go with the 3 and scales. I looked at some pics last night and a youtube video and I just cant take it anymore. I'll probably be ordering on Monday.

P.S.- Jones, I have an Izula, a 4 and 6.

The HEST F is cool but I'm going to wait a while on it.

buy more ammo until you have at least 1k rounds per caliber that you have and save that stash. you have enough small knives - save up for a junglas.

It's the American way! Buy now, pay twice as much later!

It is a bit of a pickle. Magpul is going to release the MS3 sling "soon" which for Magpul means 2026.

Just roll it around which you would get more use out of and go that way.

And BTW, the AR is never "done". :mad:
